Travel by Tom Higham is a professional travel agent who is dedicated to creating fun, enjoyable, exciting, relaxing, carefree and memorable travel experiences for his clients to help enrich their lives and experience the wonderful world of travel.

VISION
“Building Memories Through Travel.” Travel is not just jet airplanes, car rentals, resorts/hotels, tour companies, etc. Travel is all about the wonderful memories you bring back with you. Experiencing new destinations, traveling with family or friend, meeting new people and then getting back together with existing friends to share your travel story is what travel is all about.

BACKGROUND
Hello! My name is Tom Higham and I began my incredible journey in the travel industry in 1968. In 1972, I became the co-owner / operator of Salem Travel, a full-service family travel agency located in Salem, Oregon. My travels have taken me to nearly 160 countries and island nations across the globe.

After 32 years, I sold Salem Travel and relocated to the Portland metropolitan area. After working for a couple of large travel agencies in Portland, Oregon, it became clear to me that I longed to use my creativity and experience to design personalized adventures for my clients. My true travel passion lies in working one-on-one with my customers.

I decided to honor this passion and open a new personal service travel agency once again: Travel by Tom Higham was born!

My lifetime investment in learning about the world’s myriad cultures, customs and customer needs coupled with my extensive travel expertise help me make planning your next vacation adventure a breeze.

In addition, like the old family doctor, I come to you. My travel consulting is available at your convenience in your home or at your office anywhere in the Portland metropolitan area.
